Child First
This award augments support from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and other CT funders to advance the statewide dissemination of the Child First initiative. 

Child Health and Development Institute
Funds support the operations and activities of CHDI to advance programs, practices and policies that will result in sustainable improvements in primary and preventive health and mental health care in Connecticut. 


Connecticut Early Childhood Alliance
Funds were granted to support efforts to educate advocates and state and local policymakers on the importance of building a comprehensive early childhood system in CT that includes physical, oral and behavioral health and nutrition. 


Connecticut Early Childhood Funders Collaborative – a project of the CT Council for Philanthropy


Discovery Communities: Early Childhood Community Grants
Funds were granted to support 25 communities to integrate health strategies into their early childhood plans and to support plan implementation. Funds were also provided to the communities by the William Caspar Graustein Memorial Fund and the State Department of Education. 


Early Childhood Data Initiative Stipends
Funds were granted to support eight communities in evaluating the utility of community-level data from Connecticut’s Early Childhood Health Assessment Record.


Infant Mental Health Workforce Development: CT Association of Infant Mental Health
Funds support the implementation of the Competency Guidelines for Culturally Sensitive, Relationship-Focused Practice that Promote Infant Mental Health® and their implementation in CT.

NAMI-CT: Keep the Promise Children’s Committee


ProHealth Physicians: Psychotropic Medication Initiative


UConn Health Center: Caring for Connecticut’s Children
Updating and editing of the Caring for Connecticut’s Children parent handbooks.


UConn Health Center: Early Childhood Data Initiative
Funds were granted to the UCHC’s Center for Public Health and Policy to develop a customized database for community collaboratives that allows for easy aggregation and reporting of health information in childcare sites. 


UConn Health Center: Psychotropic Medication Initiative
Funds were granted to UConn Health Center’s Department of Psychiatry and multiple organizations to develop, implement and evaluate an algorithm for managing anxiety and depression in pediatric primary care. 


Whitney Pediatrics: Psychotropic Medication Initiative


Yale School of Nursing: Medication Administration Initiative
Funds were granted to the Yale School of Nursing to support the development of a best-practice medication administration training curriculum video in English and Spanish for nurse consultants and for the advancement of a statewide system of medication administration training. Additional funding to advance this work was provided by a $150,000 grant from the State Department of Education. 


Discretionary Grants ($5,000 or less)
The President’s Discretionary Fund was used to provide grants to support the Connecticut Family Support Network, Connecticut News Project, and the Connecticut Oral Health Initiative.
