FY 2018 Grants Amounts

Child Health and Development Institute
Funds support the operations and activities of CHDI to advance programs, practices, and policies that will result in sustainable improvements in primary and preventive health and mental health care in Connecticut. 



University of Connecticut Department of Allied Health Sciences
The primary focus of the project is for the Grantee to develop and assess the feasibility of a coordinated communications program to deliver consistent messages about best practices for feeding young toddlers (1-2 year olds).



Connecticut Association of Infant Mental Health: Workforce Development Initiative
Funds support the cost of the 2018 Fall CT-AIMH Conference and printing costs for a newly developed CT-AIMH brochure. In addition, funds support website redesign and security enhancements.



Connecticut Association for Human Services
Funds support a portion of the Grantee’s cost to monitor and analyze state and federal policy proposals that relate to the health and development of children (prenatally through age eight), as well as build a comprehensive early childhood system.

Discretionary Grants ($5,000 or less)
The President’s Discretionary Fund was used to provide grants to: Center for Children’s Advocacy, Children’s Mental Health Network, All Our Kin, Connecticut Family Support Network, Connecticut Voices for Children, Connecticut Health I-Team, Connecticut News Project, Connecticut Council for Philanthropy, and Connecticut Association of School Based Health Centers.
