Child Health and Development Institute
Funds support the operations and activities of CHDI to advance programs, practices, and policies that will result in sustainable improvements in primary and preventive health and mental health care in Connecticut.

Funds to implement the Reduction of Emergency Department Use for Child/Adolescent Behavioral Health (the “Project”).  The primary focus of the Project is to develop and pilot test a novel behavioral health acuity assessment tool in a pediatric emergency department.

Funds to implement the Transforming Pediatrics to Support Population Health Project. The primary focus of the Project is to increase the contribution of pediatric primary care to health equity and population health.

Funds to implement the Reduction of Emergency Department Use for Child/Adolescent Behavioral Health. The primary focus of the Project is to create more efficient emergency department care pathways, data-driven tools, and educational and patient referral materials.

Funds to support the promotion of the Competency Guidelines that lead to Endorsement for Culturally Sensitive, Relationship-Focused Practice that Promotes Infant Mental Health.

Connecticut Children’s Medical Center: Andrulonis Mental Health Lecture Series

Connecticut Early Childhood Alliance
Funds to support operational capacity of the Alliance.  The Grant is to be used to fund a portion of the Grantee’s cost to promote and support Medicaid reimbursement, expand midwife services and developmental screening of young children.
